Update: Human Remains Found Identified As Missing Oklahoma Soldier, Family Speaks

A Sapulpa mother says skeletal remains found near Fort Hood on Friday are those of her son.

Fort Hood Soldier Gregory Morales was last seen on August 19 2019. Morales's mother, Kim Wedel said she filed a missing person's report after she hadn't heard from him for several days.

Wedel says authorities traveled from Texas to deliver the news about her son face-to-face. Texas agencies say they found Morales's remains while searching a wooded area in Killeen. They say say a tip led them to that area.

Wedel said her son was set to process out of the army two weeks after his disappearance. His mother Kim Wedel said, "I just miss him. We don't see each other a lot with him being in the army but I always knew I could. And now we don't have that anymore, we can't see him."
