Broken Arrow Schools and Tulsa Public Schools both have plans in place for students to be home some days during the school year for distance learning.

Both districts said they are doing this to keep students safe and are also creating backup plans just in case things change.

TPS said their school year will start August 31 and end June 8, 2021.

TPS is planning for different options, including in-person learning, distance learning, and a mix of the two.

Broken Arrow Schools said they will be replacing their Late Start Wednesdays with six days where students will be at home for virtual learning.

The new school times are as follows:

Early Childhood Centers – 8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Elementary – 9:10 a.m. to 3:50 p.m.

Middle School – 8:30 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.

Freshman Academy & High School: 7:40 a.m. to 2:25 p.m.
