Potential COVID-19 Vaccine Showing Promise In US

A new coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine is showing promise in the United States.

The experimental vaccine was developed by researchers at the National Institutes of Health and Modern Biotech company.

It is the first to be tested in the U.S. and according to the researchers, it worked exactly as they hoped.

45 volunteers got the vaccine in March, and yesterday it was shown they did develop antibodies to the virus.

Next, around July 27, the vaccine will start the most important step, a 30,000-person study to prove if it is strong enough to protect from the virus.

The government hopes to have results around the end of the year.
