The Tahlequah City Council voted 3-1 to pass a mandatory face covering ordinance for its citizens Monday night.
The mandate requires everyone older than 10 years old to wear masks in public, where physical distancing is not possible. The Sheriff said the mandate does not apply outside the Tahlequah city limits.
The ordinance will last until the end of November, unless lifted earlier.
