Tulsa Prosecutors Drop State Sex Crime Charges Against Broken Arrow Man

Tulsa County prosecutors dropped 11 child sex crime charges against a Broken Arrow man, after he pleaded guilty to those same charges in federal court.

Carl Spaeth was arrested following an undercover operation when investigators posed as a 14-year-old girl. They said he asked for nude photos and sent explicit photos.

The district attorney's office said they dropped the case because Spaeth already pleaded guilty in a federal case that came from that arrest.

Spaeth is currently serving 7 years in prison.
