The Creek County Sheriff's Office said when deputies got to the home, they found a young man dead.
Theresa Williams said she was helping her son, 25-year old Tyris Boyd, move out after a dispute he had with his girlfriend this morning. She said her son died after he was shot several times.
"I'm thinking it's just, she said she left the house, I'm going to come and get him so he can come to my house, they can smooth it over or however they want to decide, it's a young couple spat," Williams said.
Williams said they were taking a television and other items to a car when his girlfriends’ mother’s boyfriend started shooting at them.
"Just as we were getting ready to get in my driver's seat of the car, her mom's boyfriend came and shot him in the back, shot at us both, and I just started saying Jesus, Jesus," Williams said.
She said he was shot in the back of the head and leg. She tried giving CPR, but it was too late.
She said she's in shock and admits that the fact her son is gone hasn't sunk in yet.
"He's a loving son, one of a twin, as I mentioned, he did have some past things in his life, but it wasn't one of the times. Him and his girlfriend were talking about starting a family, I told him to wait, just wait, you know they're young they're not married," Williams said. "It's a shock, it's a shock, I'm sure by tomorrow it'll be real."
The Creek County Sheriff's Office and OSBI are both investigating.
They were unable to confirm the age or name of the victim. They said they're interviewing witnesses, but at this point won't comment on if any arrests have been made.
