Construction Begins On New Sallisaw Veterans Center

Construction will start on a new multi-million dollar veterans center in Sallisaw on Friday.

The groundbreaking will start at 10 a.m.

Sallisaw was chosen by the Oklahoma Veterans Commission out of six other cities across the state, including Muskogee.

The veterans center is expected to have 175 beds and is expected to cost about $85 million.
