Several students attending Berryhill South Elementary will be going in to quarantine after officials announced on Facebook that someone in the district tested positive for COVID-19.
Berryhill school leaders worked with the Tulsa and Creek County Health Departments to conduct contact tracing and determine the number of people at South Elementary that were exposed to the infected individual.
According to district officials, the health department is notifying the students and families affected and they will need to quarantine for up to 14 days.
Berryhill Public Schools have been on fall break since Wednesday and according to school leaders, the new case will not have any impact on students returning to school on Monday of next week.
