Oklahoma is getting over $3 million from the Department of Justice to fight drug addiction.

U.S. Attorney Trent Shores said the money will fund drug intervention programs around Oklahoma.

According to Shores office, more than 400,000 people have died from illegal drug use since 2000. Synthetic opioids like fentanyl have driven overdose rates up across the state.
