Crews Making Progress On Oasis Fresh Market In Tulsa Food Desert

Construction is reaching new heights on a desperately needed grocery store in Tulsa.

The Oasis Fresh Market is being built at The Shoppes on Peoria near Pine and Peoria. On Friday, crews signed the beams of the building and highlighted several building milestones in a ceremony.

The nearly $4 million grocery stores will bring fresh produce to an area known as a food desert.

In addition to groceries, the store will also have a demonstration kitchen to educate customers on how to prepare healthy food.
