Now for the third year in a row, Shadow Box Military Gear is serving both memory and meals. J.R. Becker, the store's general manager, fought in Vietnam. He's made it his goal to keep the legacy of U.S. soldiers alive.

"We will not allow what happened to us happen to any of the modern-day veterans. It took 40 years basically for us to get recognized or any kind of welcome home," Becker said.

The food drive will feed military families in need during the holiday season. Starting November 1 going to December 31, the store will be accepting donations of non-perishable food.

"To help families, military families that are in need," Becker said. "We do this because there are times when things are tight in the military and their budgets are a little strenuous. So to make sure that every family has food to take care of themselves during the holidays, this is what we do."

You can donate non-perishables by leaving them at the store during business hours.
