News On 6's LeAnne Taylor is back from her NASA trip to Florida, and she said it was a trip that was out of this world.
LeAnne said one of the most memorable things was the astronaut walk out.
The astronauts were kept in isolation in the crew quarters.
But to get to the launch site, they come out the iconic doors and out to greet the media and, more importantly, their families.
LeAnne got a close up view of the walk out and said it was emotional and exciting.
"To see them in their spacesuits and watch them interact with their families was so touching," she said.
This walk has been a tradition that goes back to Apollo 7.
The astronauts were then driven in Tesla vehicles to the launch pad, and then they were off to the International Space Station.
