Oklahoma Blood Institute Now Accepting Walk-In Convalescent Plasma Donors

The Oklahoma Blood Institute has announced that it will be welcoming walk-in convalescent plasma donors for the first time. According to the institute, walk-ins will be welcome at donor centers and mobile blood drives due to a critical and immediate need for convalescent plasma to treat critically ill COVID-19 patients in Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Blood Institute has announced that it will be welcoming walk-in convalescent plasma donors for the first time.

According to the institute, walk-ins will be welcome at donor centers and mobile blood drives due to a critical and immediate need for convalescent plasma to treat critically ill COVID-19 patients in Oklahoma.

OBI said that that plasma donors must have had a positive COVID-19 test and be symptom-free for at least 14 days. OBI officials said that previous donations must have been made more than a week before to qualify.
