A Muskogee high school senior will be heading to college in a car thanks to a gift from the family she babysits!

The family says they started budgeting money and found the perfect car for a young woman they say deserves this and more.

"You go from...living down the street from someone to being like nearly part of their family. It is crazy how a few months to almost a year can change someone's life so much," said 18-Year-Old Catori Roberts.

When Catori tells you her life has changed in less than a year- she is not exaggerating.

"We just clicked- it has been great, I just knew that I could trust her," said Elise Clark, "She actually cares about what she is doing and I can go to work and not have to worry about what is going on here."

Babysitting the Clark's is Catori's only job right now. She used to work two- she had to stop the second when the pandemic hit.

"The money that we pay her to babysit, I knew that it was going towards her saving up for a vehicle," said Elise.

Catori has been saving up for a car she can take to college next year- but says the expenses of life kept getting in the way.

"Me and my husband talked about it, we prayed about it. We set aside a budget for what we could afford to give to her," said Elise.

Then they gifted their babysitter with a car.

"I have been accepted into TU, NSU, OSU and I am waiting to hear from OU…I am also in a lot of extracurriculars. I am in like 8 clubs and I am President of two of them….This car- it is not just me taking it to go to college or taking it to go hang out with friends, it literally makes me and my family's life so much easier," said Catori.

Kindness is a powerful thing. If you are gifting someone with a blanket or an entire car- these families will tell you, every gesture makes a difference.

"It was a feeling I had in my heart and I knew I needed to do it. I am just glad that I was able to do it," said Elise, "She just deserves it. She needs to save her money for her future endeavors. I know she is going to do great things."
