City Of Claremore Selects New City Manager

Claremore has named John Feary as the city manager effective immediately, the city council announced Monday.

“This is a big moment for me and my family, and I appreciate the confidence the council has in my abilities,” said Feary. “Claremore is an amazing community and on an upward trajectory. I plan to continue to build on that positive foundation.”

Feary has served as acting city manager since July.

“John was an obvious choice for this position,” said Bill Flanagan, Claremore mayor. “He is a true public servant with a great deal of experience in municipal objectives. John understands our town and what our city needs to advance our priorities.”

Feary’s appointment extends through the end of June 2021.
