Tulsa police say one person is in custody following a chase that started on I-44 between Lewis and Peoria.

Police said they tried pulling the car over for speeding but the driver took off and a chase started. The car eventually spike stripped on Peoria, according to police.

TPD told News On 6 the driver and passengers came to a stop in a neighborhood east of 42nd and Peoria. All people inside bailed out of the car.

Police said they caught a female, who was a passenger inside of the car. The K-9 units were deployed but they were unable to locate the other people.

The vehicle was towed away from the scene.

“As of now it hasn’t been reported stolen,” said Sgt. Brad Staggs, Tulsa Police. “We’re going to attempt to try to locate the owner and see if it has been stolen.”
