A mental health group is partnering with several organizations to address Tulsa’s meth addiction crisis.

Healthy Minds Policy Initiative call it the “Tulsa Methamphetamine Treatment Center.” The group said there will be more treatment options and resources available to Tulsans struggling with meth addiction.

Some of the partners include OSU Center for Health Sciences, 12-And-12, Women in Recovery, Sangha and Workforce Tulsa.

“I think Tulsa has a really unique ability to solve these problems because we’ve had the nation’s leading innovators working on these challenges for years in our city,” Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum said.

The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services said meth is the drug of choice right now in Oklahoma.
