The Public Oversight Committee for the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Graves Investigation is holding a public forum Thursday evening to answer any questions about their findings to date. This will be the second virtual forum this group has held as a means for the public to involve themselves in something that is significant to the community’s history. The Public Oversight Committee for the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Graves Investigation is holding a public forum Thursday evening to answer any questions about their findings to date. This will be the second virtual forum this group has held as a means for the public to involve themselves in something that is significant to the community’s history.

According to the committee, it will go over their findings from July and October to kick off the event followed by questions about their findings. So far, archeologists have found at least 12 coffins holding human remains in Oaklawn Cemetery in an area where anomalies were previously detected. They are still trying to determine if those remains are in-fact associated with the massacre.
