Here are six things to know before you set your alarm for Thursday.
1.VACCINE DISTRIBUTION: Healthcare workers in Grove and Miami are next in line to get Pfizer’s vaccine here in Green Country. Integris Hospital said Thursday will be monumental in the fight against COVID-19.
2.TEACHERS GET PRIORITY: Governor Stitt will announce increased prioritization for teachers to receive the vaccine Thursday. There’s a news conference at noon at the state capitol.
3.NEXT STEPS: An FDA board is scheduled to meet about approving Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine. It’s the final step before the FDA decides whether to authorize the company’s vaccine for emergency use. Tuesday, regulators called it safe and confirmed its 94% effective.
4.QUESTIONS ANSWERED: There’s a virtual meeting about the search for graves from the 1921 Race Massacre. Researchers from the investigation team will answer questions about the 12 coffins that were discovered during test excavations a few months ago.
