A paramedic from Nowata died Monday after a battle with COVID-19.
Cole Brooks started working for Nowata EMS in 2012. Nowata Fire and EMS said he spent the last eight years dedicated to his community and the patients who needed him.
They said Brooks loved his job and he loved helping others.
