People older than 65 are now eligible to get vaccinated as part of the state's Phase 2 plan which has several tiers. Some teachers are also in a lower-tier as last month, state leaders announced teachers would be a part of phase 2 of vaccine distribution.
So far, healthcare workers, first responders, and now people age 65 and older have the green light to get the shot but since teachers are in a lower tier of phase 2, they are still waiting.
