Man Accused Of Shooting, Killing Tulsa Police Officer To Appear In Court Monday

The suspects involved in the shooting of two Tulsa police officers last summer are set to appear in court Monday. Both David Ware and Matthew Hall will be in court at 9:30 a.m. for an evidentiary hearing. They had a similar hearing last month but both men's attorneys, as well as prosecutors in their cases, asked for more time. TULSA, Okla. -

The two men involved in the shooting of two Tulsa Police officers last summer are set to appear in court Monday.

Both David Ware and Matthew Hall will be in court at 9:30 a.m. for an evidentiary hearing. They had similar hearings last month but their attorneys, as well as prosecutors in their cases, asked for more time.

David Ware is charged with first-degree murder for the shooting death of Tulsa Police Sgt. Craig Johnson during a traffic stop last June. He is also charged with shooting with intent to kill for Officer Auresh Zarkeshan. He survived the shooting but spent months recovering at an out-of-state rehabilitation facility.

Ware's friend, Matthew Hall, is accused of being his getaway driver.

Ware has been in jail since June 29 and held without bond. His attorney asked a judge for the training and disciplinary records for both officers. He also asked for information about the company that made the body and dash cameras for both officers. Prosecutors agreed to provide those records.

Matthew Hall's jury trial was supposed to start January 4 but was moved to March 1 due to COVID-19. Meanwhile, David Ware's jury trial is still scheduled to start on June 7.
