'It's Heartbreaking:' Neighbor Shares Shock After Man, 5 Children Killed In Muskogee Shooting

Police said a man and five children are dead after an early morning shooting in Muskogee near York and Hancock.

Investigators said the suspect, 25-year-old Jarron Pridgeon is related to at least one of the victims.

News On 6 spoke to someone who’s lived in the neighborhood for decades.

Paul Jones said it’s typically a very quiet area, and he said the family moved into the home just a few weeks ago.

“It was very shocking; something like this does not normally happen in our neighborhood,” said Jones.

He said the situation is heartbreaking, and makes him think of his grandkids.
