There’s an election Tuesday in Tulsa County for County Treasurer. It’s a primary, but the winner gets the job and only Republicans can vote.

The only two candidates are Republicans, and it's a closed primary, only Republicans voting, but that also means democrats and independents have no vote in deciding the winner.

A state representative wants to change that, so if the only candidates are from one party, the top two will move on the general election when everybody gets to vote.

Some voters will have ballots for school board, city council or school bonds, but for treasurer the only choice is between the two republicans.
