Tuesday morning, as many as 200,000 Oklahomans were without power and some told News on 6 they were in the dark for three hours.
As of 9 p.m. Tuesday night, PSO is not showing many power outages across the area.
The Southwest Power Pool that controls power over 17 states, ordered the shutdown when demand peaked at 6 a.m. to prevent an even larger failure. The SPP is currently at Alert Level 2, which means blackouts could occur during the night.
Oklahoma's Corporation Commission voted 2-1 Tuesday night to pass an order asking utilities and power companies in Oklahoma to prioritize health and safety over businesses when making decisions about diverting power.
