Ten years ago, a Tulsa woman got a knock at her door with the worst news possible; her son was found dead.
19-year-old Blayne Davis was found in Keystone Lake and even though investigators ruled it a suspicious death, no arrests have been made.
Blayne’s mother, Chanda Bobbitt says she walks around every day trying to smile through the pain, but says she's dying inside, because she knows someone out there knows the truth and just won't come forward.
"It's something you never expect. It's been really a tough road. It's with you every day, every second,” said Bobbitt.
Investigators say Blayne went camping with some friends at Keystone Lake in March of 2011, but when his friends came home, Blayne wasn't with them. A couple days later, deputies showed up at Bobbitt’s house and told her Blayne had been found in the lake, dead.
"I just want justice for my son, and peace of mind for me. It's just like a torture every day,” said Bobbitt.
The medical examiners office ruled Blayne's death a drowning, but Osage County Sheriff Eddie Virden says there are still a lot of unanswered questions, and that's why it's still being called a suspicious death. Bobbitt says the ten year investigation has been tough on her and has felt like a never ending battle for justice.
"I feel like I've been kept on a rollercoaster ride. Just still waiting,” said Bobbitt. “It's something where you feel like you see the whole picture but why hasn't anything been done?"
Bobbitt says she will never give up.
"Just some answers. You know, I'm not looking to be evil. I just need peace in my life. I pray I get it before I pass,” said Bobbitt.
The case is still open with the Osage County Sheriff's Office.
