Tulsa Police Search For Suspect Involved In Overnight Shooting

Tulsa Police say they are searching for a suspect involved in an overnight shooting that left one man in the hospital.

According to police, just past 10 p.m. Tuesday they were called to a shooting near Admiral and 41st west avenue.

They say when they arrived they found one man shot in the leg who told officers he ran outside to break up a fight on his street and that is when he said the suspect, who he said was one of the men involved in the fight, hit him in the head, shot him in the leg then ran away.

TPD told News On 6 the victim, the suspect, and the other person involved in that fight all know each other at least on a first-name basis, but the victim was not part of the actual fight at all until he tried to break it up. Police say he is expected to be released from the hospital sometime early Wednesday morning.

Tulsa police say they do have a first name and a description of the suspect but are still looking for him.
