Local Bars Grateful For Business Surge During March Madness

March Madness means an increase in business for local bars. It’s an especially welcome sight since bars were closed this time last year, and March Madness was canceled.

“It's a wonderful feeling to walk in and open your doors and be pretty much busy from the time you open until the time you close,” Arena Pub and Grill General Manager Baldo Rodriguez said.

“Everyone's had a pretty tough year. Maybe being able to get out, watch some sports, enjoy March Madness is just what everyone needs right now,” Pearl Beach Brewpub bartender Hayden Abel said.

Lots of bars are setting up TV’s outside so people can stay distanced while enjoying the nice weather.
