Law Enforcement Agencies Gather to Escort Washington Co. Deputy Killed While On Duty

Law enforcement agencies from across Green County gathered Sunday to escort the body of Washington County Deputy Kyle Davis from Tulsa to Bartlesville. 

Herb Cline worked with Davis at the Washington County Sheriff's Office for four years. Davis was known for his humor and could light up any room. 

"Super good kid. funny, oh my gosh, he'd have everyone laughing in no time,” Cline said. “You'd pick up your phone and have a message from him and it'd be something hilarious and it would just brighten your day.”

Cline said the sheriff's office is devastated by what has happened.

"Just his happiness,” Cline said. “He could make anybody feel better. I wish I had known him longer.”

Cline said the support has been amazing. Overall, he's thankful he knew Davis. 

"To the family, thank you for allowing him to be in our life," Cline said. 

The funeral for Davis will be held at 2 p.m. Friday inside Copan High School.
