Police say that the suspect had gone to the apartment complex to find an ex-co-worker and was wielding a shotgun. Police say that the victim had come downstairs to go to work when she saw the suspect and ran back upstairs into her apartment.
Tulsa police said that the suspect then went up to the apartment and shot the lock off of the door with his gun, wounding the victim's husband. Police said that once the suspect was inside of the apartment, he physically assaulted the woman and dragged her to his car. According to officers, the suspect then threatened to kill the victim's husband if she did not get into his vehicle.
A neighbor who witnessed part of the altercation called the police.
When officers arrived on the scene, the suspect fled and a pursuit ensued.
EMSA arrived at the apartment complex to treat the victim's husband and went with the victim to the Tulsa Police Department to make a statement.
Police said the suspect was injured in the crash and was been taken to the hospital for treatment.
