Tulsa Police Identify Man Who Died After Being Shot In The Neck

Tulsa Police are investigating a shooting that left one man hospitalized at an apartment complex near 61st and Peoria.

TULSA, Oklahoma -

A 36-year-old man has died after a shooting Monday night at an apartment complex, Tulsa Police said.

Police responded to a shooting call around 8 p.m. Monday night at the Waterstone Apartments near 61st and Peoria.

Police said Maurice Burgess was shot in the neck and was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries. Officials believe the man was riding a bicycle when he was shot.

Officials said they do not have any suspect information yet but are investigating. Officials said Peoria is down to one lane southbound because of the emergency response.
