Tulsa Police Investigate Multi-Vehicle Hit & Run Crash On US-169

Emergency crews are on the scene of a multi-vehicle accident northbound on US-169 just past the 31st Street exit.

According to Tulsa police, it started after a gold-colored vehicle attempted to merge onto US-169 between a black pickup truck carrying a trailer and a white SUV.

The gold vehicle then hit the white SUV causing it to swerve and strike the center median before flipping over.

Police said that the driver of the black pickup truck tried to swerve out of the way of the vehicles, but instead hit a guard rail.

According to police, the driver of the gold vehicle helped all of the impacted drivers out of their cars before fleeing the scene.

Police said that there was evidence of drug use found inside the gold vehicle.

Three people who were inside the pickup truck were taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.

Police are now searching for the driver of the gold vehicle.

One lane of US-169 has been closed while crews work to clear the scene.
