A new exhibit is now open at the Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art in Tulsa.
The new space honors each Oklahoman who fought during World War II.
The memorial exhibit was dedicated at the museum Sunday on the 77th anniversary of D-Day.
The exhibit will be a permanent exhibit at the museum. Curator Mickel Yantz said the museum hopes to expand the exhibit throughout the years.
Eva Unterman, who a Holocaust survivor, said this memorial exhibit means so much to her. It can serve as a way to appreciate the sacrifice soldiers made.
"Most of us cannot go to Normandy, so we now have a memorial to our World War II veterans in Tulsa and we shall always remember them," Unterman said.
