Thousands of people flocked to the Bixby’s Bentley park Sports Complex for Green Country’s first major Independence Day celebration and fireworks show of the year.
People broke out the blankets in lawn chairs hours before the show started. Many others stopped by food trucks at the event. Jason Moore brought his whole family out, for him an event like this is what America is all about.
“Getting back to what America does. You know, we have the freedom to do these things Because people served our country and fought for us,” he said. “So I think for us we just have to remember that we’re celebrating Independence Day, and those that fought for us made it possible. So I think we all just have fun and enjoy the time.”
