Tulsa police say a man is in the hospital after being shot and severely beaten during a possible kidnapping. Investigators said officers were called by the family of the victim after he was dropped off by a good Samaritan.
Police said the good Samaritan found the victim at the Addison apartment complex near East Admiral Place and North Mingo Road and offered to give him a ride to the family’s house. Investigators said they also found the victim’s car inside the complex but are unsure where the initial scene is because he was unable to talk with them and there was a language barrier.
Capt. Jeff Edwards, Tulsa Police, said in addition to the gunshot, the victim was also severely beaten. They believe the man could have been kidnapped before the good Samaritan found him because officers said the victim had duct tape around his hands and feet.
The family of the victim called police once he was dropped off. Police said they were able to confirm he was indeed dropped off by a good Samaritan.
Investigators are still trying to piece together what happened. They said the man is in the hospital and is expected to survive.
