Tulsa Police arrested a man they said broke into an elementary school Monday.
Officers said they responded to a burglary alarm at Skelly Elementary around 5:45 p.m. and found 40-year-old Solomon Burton in the cafeteria, pouring liquid on the floor.
They said they smelled gas, so they turned off the burners in the kitchen. They said a K-9 officer bit Burton to stop him.
Police said Burton sprayed the dog and two officers with a fire extinguisher and was carrying two knives. Officers arrested him for attempted arson, burglary and assault on a police dog.
