1 Person Severely Injured In Hit & Run Crash; Tulsa Police Search For Driver

Tulsa police are searching for a driver they say hit a man and drove away on Saturday evening.

According to police, the crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday on East 31st Street near 129th East Avenue.

Police say the victim was walking next to the road when a white Toyota Tacoma hit him. The victim lost his lower right leg and officers say someone nearby likely saved his life by applying a tourniquet.

According to police, the suspect's truck was an extended cab Toyota Tacoma with step bars and tinted windows.

Police say the truck is likely damaged from the crash.
