In the span of 17 days, a Claremore woman has lost her mother, father, and husband to COVID-19.

"She lost her dad on the 10th, her mom on the 20th, and her husband on the 27th," said family friend Dee Hayter.

Dee and David Hayter are some of Leslie Killsnight's dearest friends.

David said the Killsnights are a family who love to be outside, spend time at the creek fishing, and just enjoy being together.

"He's a good guy, he loved fishing, and her parents were awesome," David said.

On August 9, Leslie's dad and mom both tested positive for COVID-19. Her mom was admitted to the hospital, but her dad was sent home and died the next day, while her mom died ten days later.

Leslie’s husband was also admitted to the hospital and after being in a drug induced coma, he died on August 27.

"I just feel helpless, we've been friends with them, her and her husband for years, I just can't imagine, we just felt helpless," Dee said.

Dee said it's terrible watching your friend go through something so heart wrenching.

"It hit their family like I haven't seen, we've had some tragedies with friends during this COVID outbreak, and this has been the worst," she said.

They say Leslie's two young children, a three- and one-year-old, also tested positive for COVID-19 and are still recovering.
