Friday night, friends are celebrating the life of a Glenpool teen who died Monday, weeks after a crash that paralyzed her from the chest down.

Avery Davis's friends and family said she fought hard until the end.

"Avery would always tell me that no matter what, keep moving forward and that she would always be there no matter what and that if I ever need anything, just to call her and that she'd always have my back and make me smile,” said Mahayla Presser.

They said they would do anything to have her back. Now they're writing a final message to the girl who they said never failed to lift their spirits.

Ask Avery’s group of girlfriends what she was like and you’ll hear a ton of stories about what she liked to wear, how she made people laugh, and most of all, how well she loved.

Avery loved sunflowers and the color purple.

“That is her thing. That is her thing. Purple and sunflowers are Avery's thing and that is staying Avery's thing,” said Elizabeth Donelson.

That, and belting "Before He Cheats."

Pick a positive adjective and there's a good chance it'd be used to described Avery’s personality.

"Avery was so outgoing. She would always be there to touch your heart in every situation. She would call you to make sure that you're fine,” said Presser.

"She was just a fun bubbly person. When you walk in a room, if you're down, you're not anymore,” said Christina Long.

But above all, Avery’s friends said she had a servant's heart.

"Never let you give up. Even when you were at your lowest you could text her, she'd never let you give up she'd just keep saying, 'little more, little more,’” said Camryn Bargas.

Like Avery, these girls never gave up.

Loved ones held a nightly prayer circle outside Ascension Saint John for forty days after the crash that initially paralyzed her from the upper chest down.

Avery was 16 when she died Monday night.

Her friends say she will always be the glue of their group.

Avery’s funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Glenpool Convention Center.
