Linde Oktoberfest returns to Tulsa on Thursday after the festival was canceled last year because of the pandemic.

This year there will be no parking available near the festival, so the best way to get there is by shuttle. The shuttles are free and run an hour before the festival starts and one hour after the festival. Some shuttle locations include Promenade Mall, the Blue Dome, OSU Tulsa, and a few other places downtown. If you take the shuttles, you should expect wait times of 10-15 minutes for the downtown locations and 20-30 minutes for the others.

Festival Director Tonja Carrigg says having a supportive city like Tulsa makes planning such a big event much smoother.

"The reason Linde Oktoberfest Tulsa is one of the top 5 Oktoberfests in the nation is because of Tulsa," Carrigg said. "Because of this community, So I can't thank them enough and we look forward to inviting everybody out for the weekend of the festival."

Oktoberfest opens to the public at 5 Thursday evening. The event runs through Sunday.
