Some major improvements are coming to an east Tulsa park, which are intended to make it an even better place for families.
Currently, McCullough Park has a few baseball diamonds and a dugout, but major renovations are in store that will transform the area.
Renderings of what the park will look like after renovations in a little more than a year include a splash-pad, playground, walking trails, a picnic shelter and more.
The project comes with a $3.5 million price tag that is a part of budgeted money from Vision Tulsa, which was an $884 million sales tax package approved by voters in 2016.
People living in this area helped design the park's final look. Construction is set to start in December and should complete in about a year.
