1921 Tulsa Race Massacre survivor, Mother Randle turned 107 years old on Wednesday. The community celebrated by writing birthday letters to Mother Randle through Justice for Greenwood and by driving by the Greenwood Cultural Center to honk and wave!
Mother Randle was 106 years old when she testified before Congress earlier this year- pleading for the country to acknowledge what happened in 1921.
"I survived the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre, by the grace of God, I am still here. I have survived to tell this story. I believed I am still here to share it with you," said Mother Randle before Congress.
If you missed the drive and honk event you can send Mother Randle a birthday card online through Justice for Greenwood
