Runners will take over the streets of Downtown Tulsa this weekend for the Williams Route 66 Marathon.
Road closures are already up in several areas downtown.
The race is expected to bring thousands of runners from around the country to Tulsa and organizers are gearing up for the event.
Currently, Boston Avenue between Cameron and Reconciliation Way is closed.
Parts of MLK Boulevard are also closed through Monday.
The events for the marathon kick off downtown on Friday, so even more road closures are starting at 9 a.m. Friday morning.
Those roads include MLK between I-244 and Archer Street and Cameron between Boston and Main. Those roads will be closed until Sunday night.
The biggest impact on the roads will be Sunday for the main event.
Thousands of racers will make their way through various historic Tulsa streets and landmarks.
A large part of the race takes place on Riverside Drive, but routes also include 15th street and even through the University of Tulsa campus.
The race path crosses Route 66 several times and ends at Guthrie Green.
