Sapulpa High School Marching Band Departs For Alamo Bowl

Sapulpa High School's marching band is headed to San Antonio.

The school district shared pictures on Facebook of the trip.

The band will perform during the Alamo Bowl halftime show that coincidentally features the Oklahoma Sooners.

The school's band director says this is their first bowl game performance she can remember.

She says it was an added bonus when they found out OU was also playing in the game.

They started their road trip early Sunday morning and will return to Sapulpa on December 31st.
