Salina Public Schools, a small school district in Mayes County, is closing for the rest of the week instead of switching to distance learning.
Right now, the school said it has too many students and staff out with COVID-19.
The district will use the next few days to allow teachers and students to recover and allow them time to deep clean the school buildings.
The district will offer testing on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the superintendent's office.
Several other Green Country school districts are closing or switching to virtual learning. Important information for parents can be found HERE.
