Stigler Man Dies In McIntosh County Crash, OHP Says

A Stigler man died at the scene of a crash in McIntosh County on Saturday just before noon, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP). The OHP said Tommy Johnson, 73, died after driving fast and crashing a 1997 Cadillac Eldorado on a county road about 6 miles south and 23 miles west of Stigler, OK.

A Stigler man died at the scene of a crash in McIntosh County on Saturday just before noon, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).

The OHP said Tommy Johnson, 73, died after driving fast and crashing a 1997 Cadillac Eldorado on a county road about 6 miles south and 23 miles west of Stigler, OK.

Troopers said that Johnson lost control of the vehicle for an unknown reason and hit a dirt embankment. The vehicle rolled and Johnson was partially ejected, according to the OHP.

Troopers said Johnson was not wearing a seatbelt and the airbag in the vehicle did not deploy.
