Tulsa firefighters are looking into what started a fire at Burn-Co Barbeque near 18th and Boston.
Tulsa fire officials say the building is now a total loss after the fire, which broke out around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The Tulsa Fire Department used three ladder trucks to attack the fire from above.
Tulsa firefighters say when they first arrived on scene, there was heavy smoke coming from the building.
District Chief Jose Ariza said his team immediately went into defense mode to get the fire knocked down.
Ariza said the restaurant is in an old building, which made fighting the fire difficult.
"Some of the buildings in the neighborhood date back to the 1920's," said District Chief Jose Ariza. "So it was an older structure, it made access to fighting the fire a little more work-intensive for us. So, thankfully we were able to get in there and get it knocked down."
Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby businesses, but one business next door suffered some water damage.
The District Chief says nobody was hurt and the cause of this fire is under investigation.
