A Tulsa contracting business says they're frustrated after thieves stole a piece of equipment from them for the seventh time in just fourteen months.
The owner says what has been taken from them adds up to about $150,000. Daris Contractors owner Dolores Moorman says at this point, all seven of their Tulsa job sites have had a piece of equipment stolen.
"They're not cheap, they're not small pieces of equipment, we've had several large pieces of equipment stolen, despite our best efforts to keep our equipment safe and secure," she said.
She says the most recent theft was Wednesday night when a Kubota wheel loader was taken from a site at 21st and Riverside. She says this piece of equipment is a crucial part of her business being productive on their job sites.
"We are a small business, and it does affect not only my family, but the families we try to keep employed," she said.
She says they've lost a skid steer, fuel containers, and other tools. With it happening seven times in fourteen months, she's starting to feel helpless.
"It feels personal at this point, the first time or two you try and keep it as it's part of owning a business, but when it's been this consistent for so long, it feels almost like a personal attack at this point," she said.
She hopes someone knows something that can help them get their piece of equipment back.
"It's not right, it's not fair to the people we employ, to us as employers," she said.
