A man has been arrested after Tulsa Police say he impersonated an officer, threatening a woman with arrest if she did not comply with sexual favors. The victim obtained the suspects tag number as he fled the scene, according to police.
Trent Bain was identified as the suspect by officers from the Special Investigations Division Human Trafficking and Vice Unit. Tulsa Police said Bain is in no way employed by or associated with the Tulsa Police Department or any other law enforcement agency.
A woman called 911 on February 28, stating she had been threatened with arrest by a Tulsa Police Officer in return for sexual favors. The victim stated she met the man online, according to police.
The suspect came to her hotel, allegedly handcuffed her and stated she was under arrest, then requested sexual favors, according to police.
He stated he was an undercover officer and his badge was “in the car," and he appeared to have a firearm concealed on his hip, police stated.
A search warrant was obtained and officers searched Bain's residence in Jenks. A silver "concealed carry" badge purchased from Army Surplus was on Bain and a firearm was in his residence as well, officers said.
Bain was placed under arrest for kidnapping as well as impersonating a police officer, said Tulsa Police.
Investigators said Bain admitted to having a similar encounter with another woman.
HTV Officers said they have reason to believe there could possibly be other victims. Victims are encouraged to contact the Human Trafficking and Vice Unit if they have been contacted by Bain at 918-586-6333.
