German Company Announces $270M Development At MidAmerica Industrial Park

State leaders announced on Wednesday that global tech company Northern Data, which operates ten data centers globally, is establishing a North American headquarters in Pryor, Oklahoma.

Global tech company Northern Data will build a new headquarters in Pryor at MidAmerica Industrial Park, the state of Oklahoma announced Wednesday morning.

Oklahoma state officials, along with MidAmerica Industrial Park and Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA), announced a partnership that will see a campus of tier-3 ready, modular data centers and the purchase of 250 of power from the GRDA.

Northern Data is a publicly-traded company on Xetra with headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, and operates ten data centers globally.

Northern Data says this is a strategic partnership with Oklahoma to bring new technology and enhance resources for businesses seeking access to future, cloud-based HPC capabilities.

Northern Data will be a new power customer for the GRDA with a purchase agreement for up to 250 MW of power, the equivalent to powering a small city of 225,000 homes.
